{"id":25835376,"date":"2025-03-03T23:25:09","date_gmt":"2025-03-03T22:25:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/herbebleue.com\/?p=25835376"},"modified":"2025-07-06T17:40:18","modified_gmt":"2025-07-06T15:40:18","slug":"fiddle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/herbebleue.com\/en\/2025\/03\/03\/fiddle\/","title":{"rendered":"Cajun Fiddle Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">with <strong>Charly Caugant \u2013 SATURDAY, AUGUST 9, 10:30 to 12:00 (@Coin Chill)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A self-taught violinist, I discovered Cajun music in the mid-1970s, notably through contact with G\u00e9rard D\u00f4le and Roger Mason in the Parisian folk clubs of the time (Le Bourdon and La Vieille Herbe), then with Eric Martin and the members of the group Vermenton Plage, a group that I joined in 1984 and with which I devoted most of my musical activity for 30 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#039;ve recorded five albums and performed at numerous venues and festivals in Europe and the United States.
