Autoharp manufacturing and repair workshop in Nantes

Pianist, accordionist and autoharpist in my spare time, the Autoharp Workshop was born from my passion for music and for instruments from all over the world, especially keyboard instruments.

Having discovered the magnificent autoharp in 2020, I decided to undertake further training in instrument making in La Châtre, in the Indre region. This is a hands-on course in the making of traditional instruments, taught by a maker of guitars, violins, hurdy-gurdies, bagpipes, and accordions. I was then able to refine my technique by completing internships with Renée Geoffrion (clavichord), Fred Pons (guitar) and Maurice Dupont (guitar).

I have been working as a luthier specializing in autoharps since 2024 in a shared workshop in Nantes. The location (HERE Nantes) is a former military barracks that has been converted and now houses around thirty artisans from all backgrounds (ceramicists, cabinetmakers, seamstresses, welders…).

I share the premises with two other luthiers:
Thierry Le Pollès (classical guitar)
Michel Aboudib (folk guitar)
