LThe Wending Whimsies love paths that zigzag, branch off, and surprise. The quartet draws on North American music (old-time, bluegrass, folk) to offer a repertoire where traditional tunes rub shoulders with original compositions.

As the pieces progress, the strings blend with the vocal harmonies, the arrangements draw inspiration from tradition without adhering to it entirely, leaving the melodies their share of freedom and the instruments that of the unexpected.
