Based in Northumberland, mandolinist Tom Kimber performs at the Herbe Bleue Festival with Ruth Eliza's band. An accomplished musician in both bluegrass and other folk traditions, Tom has released numerous albums and performed in venues and festivals across the UK and Europe with his two other main groups, Pons Aelius and Assembly Lane. A passionate teacher, he gives private lessons and also leads or coordinates workshops.

His workshop at Herbe Bleue will be devoted to "fills" (filling phrases) on the bluegrass mandolin.
